Compatibility with various resins is assured by appropriate sizings.
Basic technologies of basalt roving processing are the following:
● pultrusion,
● filament winding,
● weaving,
● multiaxial fabrics production.
Type:
1.Direct roving is a ready - to - sell continuous one-end strand produced in the drawing process and wound on bobbins with 200 mm or 160 mm internal diameter.The main advantage of direct roving is zero catenary and excellent appearance.
That is the reason why direct roving is used for production of fabrics and geogrids, as well for production of pultruded profiles and rebar. For other applications customers may need roving with much higher tex, comparing to direct roving, such as 4800 tex.
Some customers can’t use direct roving, because they need roving wound on bobbins with external pool. These products can be produced in form of assembled roving.
2.Assembled roving consists of several single-end strands joined together without twisting on special assembling machine.
It is supplied on bobbins with internal pool (tubeless, 76 mm internal diameter) or external pool (bobbins are wound on a tube with internal diameter of 76 mm and length of 270 mm).

Product Applications:
Suitable for pultrusion, winding, weaving processes, LFT processes, twin screw direct extrusion processes, and various resin systems, to produce basalt fiber reinforced particles, and as reinforcement materials. Widely used in fields such as construction, pipelines, automobiles, electrical appliances, and high-temperature filtration.
- Composite with resin as a reinforcing material. Good compatibility with UP, EP, VE, PPS, PP, PA, PF and acrylate systems;
- Weaving various specifications of unidirectional fabric for building reinforcement;
- Weaving various checkered fabrics, mesh fabrics, and geotextiles;
- Wrap various pipes, tanks, and gas cylinders;
- Repair and reinforcement of buildings, high-temperature resistant SMC (sheet molded plastic), BMC (block molded plastic), DMC (mass molded plastic), and short cut fibers for road use;
- Production of batch fiber reinforced plastics (BFRP). Making basalt fiber composite rebar.
