Anti-corrosion Basalt Fiber Rebar With Epoxy Resin Composite Bar

Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer Rebar (BFRP Rebar) is a new type of composite rebar made of basalt fibers and resin matrix (e.g., epoxy resin) through pultrusion process. It shows unique advantages in specific engineering fields as an alternative to traditional steel rebar.

  • Processing Service Bending, Moulding, Cutting
  • Material Basalt fiber+Epoxy resin
  • Application Construction, building
  • Length Customized

Product Characteristics

  • High strength and light weight

Tensile strength up to 1000-1500 MPa, higher compared to ordinary rebar (about 400 MPa).

Density of only about 2.0 g/cm³, which is about 75% lighter than steel (7.85 g/cm³), making it easy to transport and construct.

  • Excellent corrosion resistance

Highly stable to corrosive media such as chlorine ions, acids and alkalis, seawater, etc., with a life span of more than 50 years, suitable for corrosive environments such as marine engineering and chemical plants.

  • Non-magnetic, insulating

No electromagnetic interference, suitable for magnetically sensitive facilities (e.g. hospital MRI rooms, laboratories); insulating properties can avoid the risk of electrical leakage.

  • Thermal Stability

Wide range of temperature resistance (-260℃~600℃), does not soften at high temperature and maintains toughness at low temperature.

Application Scenarios

  • Harsh corrosive environment

Cross-sea bridges, wharves, submarine tunnels, saline buildings, etc.

  • Special Functional Requirements

Medical/research buildings (electromagnetic shielding), water conservancy and hydropower facilities (anti-fatigue), tundra engineering (low-temperature resistance).

  • Lightweight Structures

Assembly buildings, temporary structures (e.g. exhibition halls), reinforcement and repair works.
