Basalt Fiber Surfacing Tissue Mat is produced with basalt chopped fiber under wet paper making process. It is designed for use in filament winding process for manufacture of GRP pipes, storage tanks, etc. Or in hand lay-up process for improving FRP surface and compression molding processes, etc.

The binder of basalt fiber surfacing tissue mat has good compatibility

with resin, which can improve the formability of special shaped

composite. It is also the preferred material for pultrusion and filament winding process.

Basalt fiber chopped strand mat is a type of mat made from basalt fibers. is made of continuous basalt fiber roving short-cut into 50mm fixed-length fibers and uniform distribution in the molding mesh belt, after the binder and then dried. It is divided into powder and emulsion chopped strand mat. These basalt fiber chopped strand mat can have different thicknesses and densities to meet various industrial applications' needs.
