High Quality Basalt Fiber Yarn Roving

Basalt fiber is a material made from extremely fine fibers of basalt, which is composed of the minerals plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine. It is similar to carbon fiber and fiberglass, having better physicomechanical properties than fiberglass, but being significantly cheaper than carbon fiber. It is used as a fireproof textile in the aerospace and automotive industries and can also be used as a composite to produce products such as camera tripods.

Product Description

Basalt fiber yarn, made from basalt rock, it is a cluster composed of parallel strands or single strand of parallel strand without twisting, it is
able to withstand temperatures up to 1800F/982C,Basalt fiber is to reinforced polymers (FRPs) and structural composites, compatiable
with epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, vinyl ester and phenolic resin, It has a similar chemical composition as glass fiber but has better strength characteristics, high modulus, high impact strength, and also highly resistant to alkaline, acidic and salt attack making it a good candidate for concrete, bridge and shoreline structures.
